Terms of Use — Clients

1. Introduction

Welcome to Wedu, a WhatsApp-based assistant that connects clients with local service providers. These Terms of Use apply to you as a client — someone looking for services. By sending a message to Wedu on WhatsApp you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Wedu. By using the Service you confirm that you are able to enter into a legally binding agreement.

3. How Wedu Works for Clients

  • You send a message describing the service you need (e.g. plumber in Mbare).
  • Wedu matches your request with relevant registered providers.
  • You receive provider profiles including ratings and contact information.
  • You contact the provider directly to agree on price, time and scope of work.
  • You pay the provider directly — cash, EcoCash, Omari, or any other method you agree on.
  • After the job is completed you may be asked to rate the provider.

4. No Commission or Fee for Clients

Using Wedu as a client is completely free. Wedu does not charge you any fees, commissions or hidden costs.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about your service needs and location.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with providers.
  • Pay the provider as agreed.
  • Rate providers honestly based on your actual experience.

6. Ratings and Feedback

Your ratings help other clients and build trust in the community. You agree to submit honest, non-abusive and relevant feedback. Wedu reserves the right to remove fake or malicious ratings.

7. Verification of Providers

Wedu requires providers to verify their identity with a national ID photo, but Wedu does not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any provider's work. You are responsible for making your own assessment before hiring.

8. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with a provider regarding the quality of work or payment, you agree to resolve it directly with the provider. Wedu is not a party to any service contract and does not mediate disputes, though we may at our discretion offer limited assistance.

9. Limitation of Liability

Wedu provides a matching platform only. To the fullest extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, Wedu and its operators are not liable for:

  • Any loss, damage, injury or theft arising from your interaction with any provider.
  • Any failure of a provider to perform services as agreed.
  • Any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use Wedu for any illegal purpose.
  • Harass, abuse or threaten any provider.
  • Submit false or misleading service requests.
  • Attempt to bypass Wedu's systems or scrape data.

11. Termination

Wedu may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.

12. Changes to These Terms

Wedu may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the changes.

Section B

Terms of Use — Service Providers

1. Introduction

Welcome to Wedu, a WhatsApp-based assistant that connects you, the provider, with clients seeking your services. These Terms of Use apply to you as a service provider, trader, freelancer or informal worker. By registering to use Wedu you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to provide the services you list. You must have a valid Zimbabwean national ID or other government-issued identification.

3. Registration and Verification

To use Wedu you must:

  • Provide your full name, trade, location and a list of services.
  • Submit a clear photo of your national ID (front side).
  • Verify your phone number via OTP (one-time pin).

Wedu stores your ID photo for verification purposes only and does not share it publicly. You authorise Wedu to use your information to match you with relevant clients.

4. Free Trial and Subscription

  • Free trial: 4 weeks (28 days) from the date of registration.
  • Subscription fee: $5 USD per month, or equivalent in ZiG or EcoCash as determined by Wedu.
  • Payment methods: EcoCash, ZiG, USD, or Omari USD wallet.
  • After the trial ends you must pay the subscription fee to continue receiving full job alerts.
  • If you do not pay, you enter a 4-week grace period — you receive teaser job alerts but cannot see client details or respond.
  • After the grace period your account becomes inactive. You may reactivate by paying the subscription fee.

5. How Wedu Works for Providers

  • Wedu sends you job alerts via WhatsApp that match your trade and location.
  • You may choose to accept or ignore each alert.
  • When you accept, you receive the client's contact information.
  • You communicate directly with the client to agree on price, time and scope.
  • You are paid directly by the client — cash, EcoCash, Omari, or any other agreed method.
  • After the job, the client may rate you.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about your trade, services and location.
  • Respond to job alerts promptly and within reasonable time.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients.
  • Deliver services as agreed to a professional standard.
  • Comply with all applicable Zimbabwean laws, including tax obligations.
  • Do not engage in fraudulent, dangerous or illegal activities.

7. Ratings and Reputation

Your rating is visible to potential clients. You agree that clients may rate you honestly. Wedu may remove ratings that are clearly false, abusive or retaliatory. Low ratings may affect your visibility in search results.

8. No Commission

Wedu does not take any commission from your earnings. You keep 100% of what clients pay you. The only fee is the monthly subscription.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use Wedu to solicit clients for illegal services.
  • Share your account access with others.
  • Harass, defraud or mislead clients.
  • Attempt to bypass Wedu's subscription system or manipulate ratings.
  • Post false or misleading information about your trade.

10. Suspension and Termination

Wedu may suspend or permanently terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • You receive multiple serious complaints from clients.
  • You provide false identification.
  • Your subscription remains unpaid beyond the grace period.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting Wedu support.

11. Limitation of Liability

Wedu provides a matching platform only. To the fullest extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, Wedu is not liable for:

  • Any loss, damage, injury or dispute arising from your interaction with any client.

13. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with Wedu's Privacy Policy. Your phone number and rating are shared with clients only when you accept a job. Your ID photo is kept confidential and used only for verification.
